Toss and Team Selection

Sri Lanka has a great start in the 1st innings of the match. Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka starts his match with a great start. He scored 56 runs in 75 balls. Avishka Fernando does not contribute more. Pathum Nissanka made a great start, but he was LBW by Washington Sundar. Kusal Mendis and captain Asalanka both scored 14 runs. Janith Liyanage and Dunith Welalage both scored 20 and 67 runs. Wanindu Hasaranga and Akila Dananjaya’s score set a target of 371 runs for team India in 50 overs.

India’s Innings
Team India had a good start while chasing the target of 231 runs. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill shared a 75-run partnership until the first wicket. Shubman contributed little to this partnership. He scored 16 runs in 35 balls. Rohit was in full form and completed his half-century in 33 balls. Hitman scored 58 runs in 47 balls.
But Dunith Wellalage broke the partnership between Rohit and Shubman. Shubman Gill was out. After that Rohit Sharma got LBW by Dunith Wellalage. Then Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer started their batting and made a joint partnership of 43 runs. Until Virat Kohli was out by Wanindu Hasaranga.
After Shreyas Iyer’s wicket, KL Rahul and Axar Patel took the responsibility in their hand. They made a great start and made a partnership of 57 runs. KL Rahul was out after scoring 31 runs in the ODI. Then Shivam Dube took the place and made India close to victory. Shivam Dubey has changed the situation by hitting a six. Team India needed 1 run in 15 balls where 2 wickets were left. But Shivam Dube was LBW by the Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka. Also, Arshdeep Singh was LBW by Asalanka.
